Blog Post #6

My initial experiences with Diigo were quite intriguing to say the least. Not just because it was first time using the platform, but primarily because it is considerably different than other platforms that I've used in the past. Never seen or can't recall anything quite like it. One of the things in particular that I like about Diigo is that it makes bookmarking fun and easy to do. Even with my minimal experience with the software, it seems like it's user-friendly for organizing, arranging, discuss, and annotate materials from various digital sources. Also, it seems like it's a good space for students to utilize for the purposes of collaboration. However, one of the things I didn't like about Diigo was the graphic design and aesthetic features. It just seemed a bit dull and boring to me. Not that that should make much of a difference, I guess as long as it does what you intend for it do. But I do believe some aesthetic improvements could make bring a monumental enhancement to what is already a good platform.

When it comes to blogging, it's something that I can say I thoroughly enjoy. It's an extremely enjoyable pastime. It's a hobby that is very rewarding. As a creative writer, for me blogging is a sort of therapeutic release. It provides me with a space to be creative with my writing and further enhance my craft. To be honest, there's nothing I dislike about blogging. It's incredible! During the blogging process, I've learned quite a deal. I not only learn a lot about the content in which I'm blogging about, but I also learn quite a deal about myself. It allows me to be self-aware, self-conscious, cerebral, and more calculated.

Web 2.0 tools are tools of technology that allow teachers and students alike to create, collaborate, edit and share content online that is user-generated. But as a teacher, an interesting tool that could be utilized is Grammarly. Grammarly is a cloud-based typing assistant that reviews spelling, grammar, punctuation, clarity, engagement, and delivery mistakes in English language text. It could be used to help all students improve their grammar, writing skills, and mechanics. In turn, improving their cognitive abilities, giving them more time to focus more on higher-level issues such as critical thinking, creativity, and demonstration of learning.
